Responsibilities
- Assess residents’ physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver therapy services including therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance training, and ADL retraining
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust treatment plans per facility policies
- Collaborate with nursing staff and the broader interdisciplinary team to support mobility, safety, and discharge planning
- Educate residents and families on home exercise programs, mobility techniques, and fall prevention
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and ensure compliance with safety and infection control practices
Requirements
- Active physical therapy license to practice in the United States with ability to obtain licensure in Maine
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited program; a Master’s degree in PT may be considered with appropriate credentials
- Minimum exposure to, or experience in, skilled nursing facility or geriatric populations; strong communication and teamwork skills
- Availability for a 15-week travel assignment starting 09/28/2026; guaranteed 35 hours per week
- Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing facility environment and manage a patient caseload
- Strong documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
