Travel Licensed Practical Nurse Long-Term Care Job
Huntington LC LPN - FT D/E is a travel Licensed Practical Nurse role in long-term care, located in Waterloo, NY. Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect skilled nursing care for assigned residents under the supervision of an RN.
- Collect data relevant to residents’ physical and psychosocial condition and convey findings to the RN and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Contribute to an age-appropriate, culturally relevant plan of care reflecting nursing diagnoses and interventions, involving the resident and family to achieve desired outcomes.
- Recommend revisions to the plan of care after evaluating resident outcomes and indicate the need for referrals to address all aspects of care.
- Maintain current knowledge and competency in nursing practice; participate in mentoring and orientation of staff; provide leadership within the professional practice setting under the direction of the RN.
- Safely apply nursing skills in a geriatric/adult population, adhering to policies, infection control practices, and safety considerations during care delivery.
Requirements
- Licensure: Active New York LPN license
- Certifications: BLS certification (through AHA or RQI)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of LPN experience in a long-term care facility
- Education: Graduate of an approved practical nursing program; eligible to practice as an LPN in NY
- Competency: Ability to perform duties in a skilled nursing setting; demonstrate knowledge of growth and development relevant to adults and geriatric patients
- Scheduling: Ability to work a rotating Day/Evening schedule and participate in full-shift orientation starting on Tue/Thu
