Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT and radiographic studies as requested, with or without IV contrast
- Operate CT and radiographic equipment and image processors; ensure positioning accuracy and image quality per procedure guidelines
- Provide clear instructions to patients to reduce anxiety and facilitate smooth procedures across age groups
- Maintain competency in two modalities; follow radiation protection practices for self, patients, and staff
- Manage imaging data in RIS and PACS, including entering exams and charges, and documenting pertinent information
- Adhere to infection control practices and universal precautions; participate in routine QC activities
- Be prepared to support emergency call coverage on weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed
Requirements
- ARRT certification and NYS licensure
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year CT Tech experience with solid radiologic/X-ray experience, or C-Arm experience
- Experience performing CT and radiographic studies, including those requiring IV contrast
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and provide care across infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Comfortable operating within RIS and PACS workflows and following NYSDOH Part 16 guidelines
