You’ll be part of a supportive community that values precision, teamwork, and patient safety, and you’ll experience a role that respects your expertise. As you consider this opportunity, take a moment to imagine the beauty of New York State—from the scenic shores of Lake Ontario to the rolling hills of the Finger Lakes region and the vibrant city neighborhoods that host festivals, dining, and culture every season.
Location Benefits: Rochester combines a thriving health care ecosystem with a dynamic cultural landscape. You’ll work within a metropolitan hub that boasts strong medical partnerships, cutting‑edge facilities, and access to a broad range of surgical specialties. The region offers excellent dining, festivals, parks, and outdoor activities that make downtime enriching and restorative. Beyond Rochester, this role provides the opportunity to experience locations across the United States, broadening your clinical exposure and professional network. You’ll gain insight into diverse patient populations, varied case mixes, and evolving OR protocols, all while enjoying the comfort of a supportive travel program that helps you stay focused on your essential work.
Role Specifics and Benefits: As a Surgical Tech, you will be at the heart of the operating room team. Core responsibilities include preparing the sterile field, draping patients, setting up instruments and supplies, assuring proper instrument count, and assisting physicians and nurses during a broad spectrum of procedures. You’ll maintain aseptic technique, anticipate equipment needs, and ensure instrument integrity and readiness for every case. The role offers substantial opportunities for growth within the specialty, including exposure to orthopedic, general, vascular, neuro, and minimally invasive procedures, enabling you to refine scrub and circulator skills, advance to lead tech roles, and participate in cross‑training initiatives that broaden your scope of practice. In addition to daily clinical duties, you’ll contribute to OR efficiency by organizing equipment, communicating effectively with the surgical team, and supporting patient safety protocols.
This assignment comes with competitive benefits designed to support you at every stage. You’ll receive a weekly pay range of $1,247 to $1,333, with the flexibility of a travel contract. A sign‑on bonus is available, along with housing assistance to help ease relocation and temporary housing needs. There are extension opportunities that allow you to stay longer with the same team or explore other facilities within the network, maximizing continuity of care for patients and stability for you. You’ll benefit from comprehensive support, including 24/7 assistance while traveling with the company, so help is always a call or message away, whether you’re coordinating case loads, navigating housing, or managing travel logistics. The program emphasizes mentorship, ongoing skills refreshers, and access to resources that keep you current with best practices in sterile technique, instrumentation, and perioperative safety.
