Surgical Tech travel assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date 05/18/2026 for 13 weeks. 12-hour rotating shifts (D/E/N) on a 3x12 schedule, with potential to work up to 48 hours per week. Weekly pay range is $1,287–$1,330. This travel-temporary assignment places you in the operating room supporting a broad range of specialties in a level 1 trauma center environment, including orthopedic, general, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma cases. The OR operates with two Davinci robotic systems and includes a transplant program (livers, kidneys, and hearts). No guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist in a broad range of surgical procedures, maintaining sterile technique and accurate instrument counts.
- Prepare the OR, drape patients, and set up sterile equipment; assist with robotic cases utilizing two Davinci systems.
- Support surgeons across specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, and trauma; assist with transplant cases (liver, kidney, heart) as part of the program.
- Monitor equipment readiness, assist with specimen handling, and ensure proper documentation and counts throughout procedures.
- Collaborate closely with the surgical team to anticipate instrument needs and maintain a safe, efficient OR flow.
- Demonstrate scrub proficiency and adherence to infection control and safety protocols; participate in rotating D/E/N coverage as required.

Requirements
- NBSTSA Certification or 10 years of Surgical Technician experience
- Minimum two (2) years of experience
- Operating room experience in a level 1 trauma center preferred
- Able to scrub
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
- NBSTSA Tech License (NY License ONLY) or 10 years of experience
