Responsibilities
- Deliver respiratory therapy services per provider orders, including ventilator support and airway clearance therapies
- Assess patient status and adjust therapies; monitor patient response and adverse events
- Operate and monitor respiratory equipment (ventilators, humidifiers, oxygen delivery) and perform airway clearance techniques as prescribed
- Perform documentation in the electronic medical record (Epic) and communicate findings to the care team
- Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team and manage supply needs through Pyxis as required; adhere to infection control practices and safety standards
Requirements
- Current Ohio RCP license and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- 32 hours per week on an evenings shift (3:00pm–11:30pm) with every other weekend and holiday; travel assignment
- Proficiency with Epic EMR and Pyxis systems
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a hospital/clinic environment
