SMH MRI Tech (MRI Technologist) – Travel assignment in a hospital setting located in Rochester, New York. Start date: 04/13/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range: $2,278–$2,367 per week. Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment to acquire diagnostic-quality images while following safety protocols.
- Prepare patients for scans, explain procedures, position patients, and address comfort and safety concerns.
- Coordinate with physicians to ensure timely delivery and interpretation of imaging results.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe scanning facility; adhere to patient privacy and documentation standards.
- Insert IVs when necessary and perform ancillary patient care tasks as needed.
- Document all procedures accurately and maintain professional communication with the care team.
Requirements
- Education: Associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology.
- Certification/licensing: New York State Radiologic Technologist license required or willingness to obtain after starting; ARRT certification preferred (ARRT or NYS Rad Tech license).
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years of MRI radiology experience; GE scanner experience required.
- Additional: BLS certification (American Heart Association) required; Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred or required.
- Other: Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced imaging environment.
