Responsibilities
- Operate x-ray equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs as ordered by physicians.
- Position and instruct patients prior to examinations; adjust exposure factors for quality images.
- Monitor patient safety during imaging and ensure optimal radiation safety practices.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images and document exam information for interpretation.
- Verify exams on the PACS system and communicate critical findings to the physician as needed.
- Maintain equipment and exam rooms, ensuring readiness and adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
Requirements
- ARRT (Radiography) certification required
- California Radiologic Technologist license (RT) required
- Fluoroscopy license in California required within 6 months of hire
- Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA or ARC)
- Associate degree in radiologic technology preferred
- At least two years of recent radiology experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient/acute care setting
