Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive PT evaluations for adult inpatients and develop individualized care plans addressing mobility, gait, strength, balance, and functional tasks
- Deliver skilled PT interventions (e.g., therapeutic exercise, gait training, manual therapy, and appropriate modalities) based on physician orders and clinical judgment
- Monitor patient progress, document assessments and treatments in the medical record, and communicate with the multidisciplinary team to adjust goals and approaches
- Support discharge planning, educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and community resources to promote continuity of care
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapy staff to optimize functional outcomes and ensure safe patient handling and mobility across transitions
Requirements
- Current Hawaii state license as a Physical Therapist
- Master’s degree in Physical Therapy; Doctorate (DPT) preferred
- Current BLS/HCP certification
- 2+ years of full-time PT experience in an inpatient/acute care setting prior to any travel assignments
- Ability to work in an inpatient/acute care environment; weekend coverage required
- Eligible to work in the United States as a traveling clinician
- Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to contract start; all licenses and certifications must be valid through the duration of the initial contract
