Temp - Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) - Long Term Care (LTC) (Days) in Saint Joseph, Missouri. Start date 04/13/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range $1,402–$1,451. Responsibilities
- Support the Occupational Therapist in delivering therapy treatments to improve patients’ mobility and physical health.
- Help patients perform exercises and follow treatment plans; record health progress and collect essential medical history.
- Monitor patient progress to ensure successful completion of therapy and encourage the patient during recovery.
- Teach patients and caregivers self-care skills to promote independence and ADLs.
- Update patient records for the Occupational Therapist and maintain a clean, organized treatment area and equipment.
- Provide education to patients, families, or caregivers on techniques to support the treatment program and home exercises.
Requirements
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Missouri or a compact state
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- 2 years OT/COTA experience is highly preferred; LTC or Rehab experience is highly preferred
- Resume required and COTA skills checklist completed within the last year
- 0–1 supervisory reference within the last year
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting
