Travel assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC
This travel position supports a short-term acute care setting, where you will administer prescribed ionizing radiation to patients and help ensure safe, accurate delivery of therapy per physician instructions. The assignment emphasizes patient communication, accuracy in treatment delivery, and maintaining detailed treatment records.

Responsibilities
- Administer the prescribed course of radiation therapy by verifying prescriptions, patient identity, and diagnosis against the treatment plan.
- Explain procedures to patients, communicate during treatment, and address basic questions or concerns.
- Deliver prescribed daily doses, observing radiation safety measures for patients and staff.
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment per prescription, assist with immobilization devices, and transfer patients to the treatment couch.
- Monitor patients for unusual reactions or emerging complications; report findings to the supervisor and department physician.
- Maintain daily treatment records and review patient charts to ensure accuracy of dose delivery and related documentation.
- Provide clinical supervision and evaluate students’ practical abilities as assigned.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: ARRT (R.T.(T)) registration with applicable state RTT certification required; AART-T registration required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; CPR certification may be accepted per AH policy.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent (Master’s Degree preferred).
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in radiologic technology.
- Additional requirements: Current certification/licensure as RTT per the state of assignment; Fluoroscopy permit preferred; Experience with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and Mosaiq EMR preferred.
- Ability to work in a short-term acute care hospital setting; strong communication skills and attention to detail.
