Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for ER patients following established standards and the nursing process.
- Assess patient condition, develop and implement care plans, monitor responses, and document accurately.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments; monitor for adverse effects and respond to changes in patient status.
- Collaborate with physicians, other nurses, technicians, and case management to coordinate interdisciplinary care.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at multiple levels; delegate tasks and provide guidance as needed.
- Apply critical thinking and professional judgment to patient care decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Active California RN license (or eligibility for CA licensure)
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- ER nursing experience preferred (1+ year)
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced ER setting
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
