This travel assignment places you in a Level IV neonatal intensive care unit with a highly specialized team delivering the highest level of care for sick or premature newborns. The unit functions as a regional reference for advanced treatments and complex respiratory and cardiac conditions. Schedule is rotating D/E/N shifts with weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and unit charge responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, expert nursing care to neonates in a Level IV NICU, including monitoring vitals, respiratory status, and clinical stability
- Collaborate with neonatology, respiratory therapy, nursing leadership, and ancillary teams; participate in daily rounds and care planning
- Administer medications, manage lines and tubes, and support advanced therapies as prescribed
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record system
- Respond to clinical changes and emergencies per unit protocols; ensure patient safety and infection control standards
- Support family education and discharge planning with sensitivity to developmental needs and family dynamics

Requirements
- NY Registered Nurse license (active)
- Two years of NICU and/or telemetry experience
- NRP 8th edition certification required
- Basic life support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
- Epic experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work in a high-acuity NICU environment with rotating 12-hour shifts; availability for weekends/holidays/on-call as required
