Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations using Siemens MRI systems, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the scan
- Screen patients for contraindications, obtain informed consent when applicable, and verify imaging orders
- Position and immobilize patients; select appropriate imaging sequences; optimize protocol parameters for diagnostic quality
- Monitor patients during scanning, assess image quality, and repeat sequences if needed
- Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety and infection control policies; document procedures and prepare images for radiologist review
- Collaborate with the radiology team to ensure timely and accurate reporting; participate in shift handoffs and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements
- Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMIT) required
- Experience: 2+ years of recent MRI technologist experience; 4+ years preferred with Siemens equipment
- Equipment: hands-on experience with Siemens MRI systems in a busy inpatient setting; experience with Philips and GE systems is noted (GE outpatient)
- Certifications: BLS required
- Education: Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
- Licensure: Massachusetts state licensure not required for this assignment
- Environment: able to work effectively in an inpatient/acute hospital setting and handle a fast-paced workflow
