- Key responsibilities: As the L&D RN, you will lead and support labor and delivery care from admission through delivery and postpartum recovery. This includes continuous fetal monitoring, maternal assessment, analgesia administration and coordination of labor support, assisting with cesarean and vaginal deliveries, newborn resuscitation and stabilization when needed, lactation support, postpartum education for new families, and discharge planning.
