Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients using the nursing process and established standards of care.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines with professional judgment.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications and treatments per orders, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team.
- Provide tele-nursing care as applicable: monitor telemetry, respond to alarms, and escalate issues per protocol.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and revise care plans.
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control and safety policies; maintain accurate, complete documentation.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California (current and in good standing)
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN)
- Ability to work nights and the 12-hour shift schedule (36 hours per week)
- Experience or comfort with telemetry/telemetry monitoring and acute care environments
- Ability to travel to the assignment location in Los Angeles, CA
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative setting
