Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult patients on an acute inpatient rehab unit during night shifts
- Monitor vitals, assess changes, administer medications and IV therapies, respond to deteriorations, and escalate as needed
- Provide wound care, pressure injury prevention, specialty bed management; manage NG/PEG feeding tubes, suctioning, oxygen delivery
- Tracheostomy care and ventilator familiarity within scope; support airway management and respiratory needs
- Perform diabetes education, insulin protocols, and basic anticoagulation coordination as directed
- Support mobility and activities of daily living, participate in rehab-focused interventions, and implement fall risk prevention
- Conduct accurate documentation in the charting system (Epic preferred); participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning
- Provide patient and family education for discharge planning and post-acute care arrangements

Requirements
- Active RN license in New Mexico or a Compact/state-authorization eligible for NM/Compact; NM/Compact license accepted but must be obtained prior to start
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience; charge nurse experience preferred
- Experience in or familiarity with acute inpatient rehabilitation concepts; knowledge of stroke/CVA, TBI, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic post-op care
- Ability to work nights and every other weekend; willingness to float to like units as needed within scope
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current RN licensure
- Charting ability with Epic experience or familiarity (Epic preferred)
