Registered Nurse – ER travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date 08/10/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay $1,856–$1,864. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 3 x 12-hour day shifts. Setting: hospital-based emergency department.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 28-bed ER department that includes 4 trauma bays, 2 behavioral health rooms, and 22 cardiac monitor rooms; fast-paced, high patient turnover with a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Perform triage, rapid assessment, and ongoing monitoring to prioritize care and respond promptly to clinical changes.
- Administer medications, initiate and manage cardiac monitoring, and implement ACLS/PALS-based interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Document assessment data, treatments, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record; adhere to safety, infection control, and quality standards.
- Provide patient and family education and support, ensuring clear communication during transitions of care.
Requirements
- Hawaii license: Active RN license required by start date. If not currently licensed in Hawaii, must apply upon acceptance and obtain Hawaii licensure prior to start.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) current at time of assignment.
- ER experience: Relevant ER nursing experience preferred; able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Additional certifications preferred: Procedural Sedation, TMCC, EMPC.
- Education: RN credential (licensure in Hawaii); ability to practice in a hospital ER setting.
- Availability: Must arrive the Thursday before start date for employee health and onboarding activities.
