Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from cardiac events, with strong assessment skills and point-of-care testing within the defined scope of practice
- Triage and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to establish and adjust plans of care
- Manage patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs), including device interrogations, evaluating battery status and lead integrity, and coordinating programming with providers
- Assist with pre- and post-procedure care for device implantation, including patient preparation, wound care assessment, and complication monitoring
- Administer and monitor cardiac medications (anticoagulants, beta-blockers, antiarrhythmics, diuretics); educate patients on adherence and potential side effects
- Educate patients and families on cardiovascular disease management, device function, activity restrictions, and lifestyle modifications
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in both in-person and remote monitoring workflows

Requirements
- Active Vermont or Compact nursing license
- Active BLS (AHA) certification
- 3+ years of recent outpatient cardiology experience (required)
- Device management experience (highly preferred)
- Acute care experience (highly preferred)
- Travel experience (preferred)
- Resume listing all departments worked (required)
- Cardiac skills checklist from within the last year (required)
- 2 supervisory references from the last 2 years (required)
- Ability to work in outpatient cardiology and hospital-based settings as assigned
