Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for Med Surg patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines
- Apply critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment to patient care
- Administer medications and treatments; monitor patient responses and document findings
- Perform ongoing assessments, update care plans, and communicate changes to the care team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes
Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Med Surg or acute care experience; travel experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and adapt to a hospital setting
- Graduation from an approved nursing program (ASN or BSN)
- Ability to complete credentialing and onboarding processes
