Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department travel assignment in Utica, New York. Start date 06/22/2026 for 8 weeks. 36 guaranteed hours per week on a 2x3 day shift in a hospital ED setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,209 to $2,291 per week.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care to ED patients across age groups (neonates to geriatrics) with a focus on rapid assessment and stabilization
- Perform triage, initiate treatment plans, administer medications, monitor responses, and document care in EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams; escalate care per protocols; participate in rapid response and code events
- Manage high-acuity conditions common in ED, including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, respiratory failure, and pain management
- Prepare patients for diagnostic testing and procedures; assist with procedures as needed; ensure patient and family education
- Maintain flexibility to float to related units as required; utilize ED equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun when appropriate
- Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, patient safety protocols, and accurate charting to support quality outcomes
Requirements
- Active New York RN license; Nursys license verification required
- TNCC in hand (required); AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications preferred or required per policy
- ED experience: minimum 2+ years in Emergency Department; pediatrics experience is a plus
- Travel experience required; documentation of prior travel assignments encouraged
- EPIC EMR experience or strong EMR proficiency
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics
- RTO requests must be included at time of submission
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ED environment and to float to related areas as needed
