Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for designated patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct activities of different levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines
- Monitor patient telemetry, administer medications and therapies as ordered, document and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; exercise professional judgment and critical thinking in care planning and problem-solving
- Ensure patient safety, contribute to discharge planning, and provide patient and family education as appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation and continuity of care, adjusting the plan of care as patient needs evolve
Requirements
- Active RN license (California)
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts on a 3x12 schedule (36 hours per week)
- Experience or competency in telemetry monitoring and acute care nursing
- Ability to work in an inpatient, telemetry-focused environment
- Eligible for a travel assignment and able to relocate to Simi Valley, CA for the duration of the contract
