Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) – Ultrasound Tech in Olympia, Washington. Responsibilities
- Perform STAT/ASAP ultrasound exams across the hospital, prioritizing ED and OB triage and selected portable requests.
- Conduct obstetric imaging (1st–3rd trimester, fetal anatomy surveys); high‑risk OB experience is helpful.
- Image abdominal, pelvic, renal, and bladder structures; perform vascular studies (upper/lower extremities, carotid) as needed.
- Handle pediatrics/NICU/PICU and general adult imaging; support ultrasound-guided procedures and point-of-care scanning when appropriate.
- Operate GE and Siemens ultrasound equipment; document findings in EPIC and coordinate with the care team.
- Maintain patient safety and infection control standards; communicate timely results to appropriate providers.
Requirements
- Certifications: ARDMS AB OR ARDMS OB/GYN (one required — NOT both); BLS.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience; ED and OB triage STAT scans and portable exams are part of the role.
- Setting: Ability to work effectively in a hospital ultrasound department; block schedule familiarity.
- Travel eligibility: Local residents within 50 miles of the facility are NOT eligible for this travel contract.
- Additional notes: First-time travelers accepted; prior charge experience preferred.
