Responsibilities
- Perform routine and diagnostic mammography examinations, including patient positioning, image acquisition, compression, exposure selection, and image optimization for quality studies.
- Operate Volpara MRS system, Hologic mammography equipment, and GE DEXA when applicable; adhere to QA protocols and radiation safety standards.
- Verify patient identity, obtain consent, explain procedures, monitor comfort, and ensure patient safety throughout the exam.
- Document all procedures and imaging results, transmit images to radiologists, and participate in quality improvement and image-quality initiatives.
- Collaborate with radiologists and support staff to ensure efficient scheduling, accurate reporting, and timely turnaround of results.
- Work in a on-site imaging setting with no on-call requirements and no weekend or holiday shifts.
Requirements
- Active California State license for Radiologic Technology and/or ARRT Mammography certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Mammography licensure/credentialing as required by state/regulatory bodies
- Proficiency with Volpara MRS, Hologic Mammography systems, and GE DEXA or demonstrated ability to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced imaging environment; physical capacity to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning
- Eligibility to work at the listed assignment location
