Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg in a travel assignment based in King City, California. Start date: 06/01/2026 for a 13-week duration on a 3x12-night schedule (7:00 pm–7:30 am). Weekly pay ranges from $2,046 to $2,089, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. This is a Med Surg role in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. The assignment requires Cerner experience, active California RN licensure, ACLS, and PALS, with the ability to care for non-critical pediatric patients and to float to a Skilled Nursing Dept as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients, and non-critical pediatric patients as assigned.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications and treatments, perform routine procedures, and document in the Cerner EMR.
- Assess patient needs, participate in planning and implementing individualized care plans, and communicate with the multidisciplinary team.
- Monitor for changes in condition, escalate appropriately, and ensure patient safety and infection control standards.
- Float to the Skilled Nursing Dept as required by unit census and patient care needs.
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Cerner experience required
- ACLS and PALS certifications required
- Ability to care for non-critical pediatric patients
- Willingness to float to the Skilled Nursing Dept
- Availability for a 7:00 pm–7:30 am shift and a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week
