Responsibilities
- Prepare the procedure room and sterile field for invasive cardiac procedures; set up sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment.
- Anticipate equipment needs during procedures, operate equipment, and maintain sterile instruments.
- Function in multiple roles within the procedure team, including scrub, circulator, and documenter/monitor.
- Support right- and left-heart hemodynamics, cardiac interventions (PCI, CTO, Pericardiocentesis), vascular interventions, and related technologies.
- Assist with mechanical circulatory support and structural heart cases as needed (ECMO, Impella, IABP; TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, CardioMEMS, PFO/ASD/VSD as applicable).
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and accurate documentation; ensure equipment readiness and post-procedure cleanup.
Requirements
- RCIS certification through CCI or ARRT, or eligibility/occurrence under NYS Public Health Law 2824 grandfathering
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- COVID-19 vaccination proof
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience
- Ability to work 10-hour shifts in a travel assignment and function in scrub, circulator, and monitor/documenter roles as required
