Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel position in a hospital setting located in Utica, New York. Start date: October 5, 2026. Duration: 16 contract weeks. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to ED patients across all ages, with exposure to common ED presentations such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Perform rapid assessment, triage, monitoring, documentation, and timely escalation of patient care as needed
- Administer medications and infusions per protocol, including pressors and other high-acuity therapies, and monitor patient response
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff; assist with patient transfers and disposition planning
- Maintain accurate, thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and adhere to unit policies and safety protocols
- Float to cover other ED areas as required; uphold infection control standards and patient safety best practices

Requirements
- Active New York RN license; Nursys verification required; ability to provide active NY license verification
- Education: RN preparation required (per state licensure guidelines)
- Certifications: Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC required
- Experience: 2+ years of ED experience; pediatric exposure preferred; travel experience required
- EMR: EPIC experience required
- Additional prerequisites: Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics; ability to meet RTO requirements at submission
- Location and travel: Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel; locals accepted at local rate if within 75 miles
