Travel Licensed Practical Nurse LPN Job
LPN position in Albuquerque, New Mexico for a travel, temporary assignment in a long-term care/nursing home setting. Start date 04/01/2026 with an 8-week contract. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under supervision of a registered nurse within a long-term care setting.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to facility policy and physician orders.
- Monitor patient conditions, document observations, and promptly report any changes to the supervising nurse.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility, promoting independence and safety.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in charting systems and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Active LPN license in good standing (New Mexico) or eligible for NM licensure.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Ability to perform 12-hour shift work and adapt to a long-term care environment.
- Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills.
- Education: completed practical nursing program (certificate/diploma) from an accredited program.
- Prior geriatric or long-term care experience preferred.
