Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adults on the Neuro/Ortho MS/Tele unit, including monitoring and managing patients with orthopedic, neurologic, stroke, and post-surgical needs
- Perform telemetry monitoring (unit and remote), IV start/maintenance, and PICC line management; administer medications and manage PCA devices
- Support stroke/CVA and total joint replacement patient care plans; implement isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Document accurately in EPIC; communicate with the interdisciplinary team; participate in care coordination and early mobilization efforts
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, including daily rounds, pain management, and timely response to changes in patient condition
- Follow unit-specific policies regarding patient ratios (approximately 1:6) and isolation/isolation precautions; comply with pre-start requirements and fit testing

Requirements
- License: RN license (pending MO license accepted); active license preferred; pending licenses accepted
- Certifications: BCLS and NIHSS required; ACLS required by policy; prepare to obtain by compliance deadline
- Experience: 2+ years RN experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
- Skills: Telemetry monitoring experience; IV start/maintenance; PICC line management; PCA experience; care for CVA/stroke and total joint replacement patients; PPE and isolation precautions
- Logistics: Ability to work in an adult MS/Tele setting; float to non-ICU/ED/SDS units as needed; RTO restrictions apply (max 7 days within a 13-week contract; no RTO first week; no new RTO after submission); locals within 75 miles are not accepted
- Compliance: Labs completed within 48–72 hours of signing; pre-start modules via WorkRamp started within 1 week of contract and completed by 2 Fridays prior to start; ACLS as required; fit testing (facial hair must allow proper fit)
