Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients, including telemetry monitoring
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; manage IV therapies as applicable
- Assess patient status, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient discharge planning and care plans
- May assume expanded unit roles as needed, including charge nurse responsibilities, precepting new staff, and participation in unit committees
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance with policies and procedures
Requirements
- Active NY RN license (RN License NY only)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Telemetry experience required
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating D/E/N schedule, including every other weekend, holidays/on-call/callback
