Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) in Clearlake, California. Start date: 10/19/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,130–$2,247 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the ED, including triage, rapid evaluation, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring of patients with acute and non-acute conditions
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and procedures per physician orders and established protocols; monitor patient responses
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams; document care in the electronic health record (EPIC) and communicate critical information clearly
- Monitor, reassess, and escalate patient conditions as needed; participate in float coverage to med-surg or ICU if required by staffing
- Maintain patient safety, infection prevention, HIPAA compliance, and accurate charting; provide patient and family education and discharge planning as appropriate
- Support a fast-paced, high-acuity environment while upholding professional standards and hospital policies
Requirements
- Current California RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum experience: Either at least one year RN experience within the last 24 months with acute critical care experience within the last 12 months, or EMT and ED Tech with a minimum of 2 years of nursing-related experience and in good standing
- EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience required
- MICN desired within one year of hire; NRP, TNCC, and CEN encouraged and recommended
- Ability to perform in a high-volume ED/acute care setting and to float as needed within the department
