Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – ER in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date 05/18/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range $1,799–$1,949 per week. Guaranteed hours: Not guaranteed. Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours weekly) following the first week of orientation. Setting: ER with a 28-bed department, including 4 trauma bays, 2 behavioral health rooms, and 22 cardiac monitor rooms.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ER, including triage, assessment, and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications, initiate IVs, manage continuous cardiac monitoring, and respond to emergent situations
- Collaborate with physicians, trauma, behavioral health, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and ensure timely charting
- Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and referrals as appropriate
- Maintain equipment readiness, adhere to safety protocols, and participate in code/rapid response activities as needed
Requirements
- Active Hawaii RN license required by start date
- Ability to work nights in a fast-paced ER setting
- Must arrive the Thursday before start date to complete employee health clearance
- ER nursing experience is preferable; at minimum, demonstrate ability to function in an acute care, high-volume environment
- Current competencies in basic life support; other certifications not specified
