Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, including assessments and documentation per the plan of care.
- Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects, reporting changes to the supervising clinician.
- Monitor vital signs, respond to changes in patient condition, and implement appropriate interventions.
- Assist with activities of daily living and provide comfort, safety, and supportive care to residents.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate resident care, including CNAs, RNs, physicians, and pharmacists.
- Maintain accurate charting, adhere to infection control protocols, and comply with regulatory and facility policies.
Requirements
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in Washington State (active or eligible for licensure in-state).
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Ability to work 6 weeks in a fast-paced long-term care setting on a 5x8 schedule from 06:00 to 14:30.
- Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Minimum readiness to work in a travel assignment and adapt to a new care environment.
- LPN diploma or equivalent credential as the entry requirement for practical nursing.
