Registered Nurse - Rehab in Herrin, Illinois, starting 09/07/2026 for 13 weeks. Travel assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week, paying $2,139 to $2,185 per week. Day shift. Work will occur on an inpatient rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting. This role focuses on care in a neuro-heavy population; Heparin drips are not performed on this unit.

Responsibilities
- Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs; develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments typical of an inpatient unit (excluding Heparin drips); monitor effects and report changes in patient condition using clinical judgment.
- Provide explanations and instructions to patients and responsible persons; support patient education regarding diagnosis, rehab goals, and discharge planning.
- Demonstrate nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition; ensure patient safety and appropriate escalation when needed.
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records; participate in core measures and quality improvement activities; engage in continuing education.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and case managers to coordinate care and support smooth transitions and discharge planning.
- Contribute to a healthy workplace environment through professional communication and teamwork; implement evidence-based practices in rehabilitation care.

Requirements
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to work in an inpatient rehab setting; day shift
- Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or medical-surgical care preferred
- Stroke certification is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated clinical judgment and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
