Responsibilities
- Deliver direct OT-related therapies per the plan of care for residents in a skilled nursing setting, including therapeutic activities, exercises, and functional training.
- Implement, monitor, and document rehabilitation interventions using Rehab Optima (NetHealth) electronic medical record.
- Assist the supervising OT with evaluation, re-evaluation, and progression toward goals; adjust activities as appropriate to resident response.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, participate in rounds, and communicate resident status, goals, and safety considerations.
- Maintain accurate, timely progress notes and ensure treatment documentation complies with regulatory and facility policy requirements.
- Promote resident safety, appropriate use of equipment, infection control, and adherence to care plans and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience
- Knowledge of Rehab Optima (NetHealth) computer system
- Ability to work the Day shift in a travel, temporary assignment
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week contract with guaranteed hours
- Effective communication and teamwork within an interdisciplinary care setting
