Responsibilities
- Support the supervising occupational therapist by delivering skilled OT interventions per established treatment plans.
- Provide patient-centered activities and therapeutic tasks to promote independence in activities of daily living.
- Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and communicate changes to the care team.
- Implement modified techniques and adaptive equipment as directed; ensure safe patient handling and infection control.
- Maintain accurate records in Rehab Optima (NetHealth) and ensure timely charting and coding compliance.
- Collaborate with OT/therapy assistants, nursing staff, and physicians to coordinate care and discharge planning.
Requirements
- Active California license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- SNF (skilled nursing facility) experience
- Knowledge of Rehab Optima (NetHealth) EMR system
- Ability to work days in a skilled nursing setting
- Availability for a 13-week assignment starting 04/06/2026
- On-site work in Monterey, California (no remote work)
