Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under supervision of a registered nurse, including routine assessments and monitoring.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policy.
- Document care interactions and patient status in the chart; communicate changes to the supervising RN promptly.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, mobility, and comfort measures; promote dignity and independence.
- Monitor vital signs, manage basic wound care as trained, and observe for any adverse events or changes in condition.
- Support infection prevention, safety, and patient privacy; ensure accurate charting and adherence to regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Active LPN license in New Mexico or eligibility for NM licensure
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a long-term care environment
- Local candidates only (Albuquerque area)
