Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
- Coordinate care with other disciplines to ensure an integrated and effective patient plan.
- Apply critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment in clinical decisions.
- Document patient status and care provided; uphold patient safety, comfort, and quality of care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the health team to support ongoing care planning.
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)
- BLS (basic life support) certification
- Minimum 1 year Med/Surg nursing experience
- Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts
- Willingness to work in a home healthcare - hospice setting
