Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessments and goals.
- Document evaluations and treatment progress in the resident’s records per facility policy.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
- Provide education to residents and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and ethical standards in a skilled nursing care environment.
Requirements
- Active New Hampshire license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience in acute care or skilled nursing facility settings preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document clearly and accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and adapt to a SNF setting.
