MRI Technologist – Radiology (MRI) travel assignment in Lancaster, PA. Start date: 08/10/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay: $2,244-$2,363 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations across a range of studies, adjusting protocols and sequences to obtain diagnostic-quality images while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
- Operate MRI systems, including POC-Symphony and Avanto VB19 platforms, selecting imaging parameters, and coordinating with radiologists for appropriate protocol choices.
- Conduct thorough pre-scan screening, verify patient identity and consent, monitor patients during scanning, and enforce MRI safety protocols (screening for implants, devices, and contraindications).
- Position patients and accessories correctly, optimize image quality, and ensure accurate labeling, archiving, and documentation of studies.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and technologists to support timely, accurate interpretations; communicate any concerns or deviations from standard protocols.
- Maintain equipment readiness and a clean, organized scanning suite; participate in routine QA tasks and report equipment issues promptly.
- Weekend coverage and split-location workflow: fulfill assigned shifts on Fridays and weekends at designated sites as part of the schedule.
Requirements
- ARRT certification required
- BLS Certification required
- MRI certification preferred
- Experience with MRI imaging and workflow; familiarity with MRI platforms such as POC-Symphony and Avanto VB19 is preferred
- Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and provide weekend coverage in a hospital travel setting
- Eligibility to work in the United States and willingness to travel to the Lancaster, PA area as part of a travel assignment
