Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery located in Templeton, California. Start date 09/21/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range: $2,308–$2,405 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Setting: Short-Term Acute Care Hospital, travel temporary assignment.

Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for labor and delivery patients; coordinate with the health care team to deliver high-quality maternal and newborn care.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, perform fetal heart rate monitoring and related assessments, administer medications, assist in labor and delivery, and support postpartum care.
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, physicians, and team members; document care and clinical findings in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in handoffs, rounds, and shared governance activities; promote patient safety, privacy, and infection prevention.
- Demonstrate professional accountability, uphold standards of nursing practice, and adhere to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide patient education and support to families, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- BLS, ACLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications; NRP required within 6 months of hire or transfer
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required on hire and every two years for experienced nurses; AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring required for new L&D RNs within first 6–8 months
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring and Intermediate courses must be maintained as applicable
- Current EPIC electronic medical record experience
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience; L&D experience preferred
- Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing (RN)
- Ability to work night shifts and meet L&D unit requirements; LDRP model experience preferred
