Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for PCU patients, including ongoing assessment, vital sign monitoring, and documentation.
- Administer medications and manage high-risk therapies; monitor hemodynamics and response to treatment; assist with CRRT and BiPAP as clinically indicated.
- Support patients with chest tubes and PICC lines; obtain and draw own labs when required; participate in codes and call on own consults as needed.
- Float to ICU and other inpatient units (Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED) per unit needs with appropriate supervision and safety.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans; ensure accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and quality of care standards; communicate changes in patient condition to the team and family as appropriate.

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in Kansas or a compact state.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHF certification requirements as noted.
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Critical Care/Intensive Care Unit.
- Must have experience with CRRT, BiPAP, drawing own labs, chest tubes, and PICC lines; no vascular access team and ability to respond to consults independently; comfortable conducting codes.
- Floating capability to ICU and all inpatient units (Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, ED) with prior relevant experience.
- Able to work 12-hour day shifts; strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
