Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services to residents with communication and swallowing disorders.
- Conduct assessments of speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, and swallow function; develop and implement treatment plans.
- Deliver individual and group therapy to residents, adapting approaches to maximize safety, independence, and quality of life.
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the resident’s chart; maintain compliance with regulatory and facility policies.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team (nursing, OT/PT, dietetics, social work) to coordinate care and discharge planning.
- Participate in resident re-evaluations, modify goals as needed, and educate families and staff about communication and swallowing strategies.

Requirements
- Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California or eligibility to practice per travel requirements.
- Ability to provide evidence-based SLP services in a skilled nursing setting.
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.
- Effective communication with residents, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Flexibility to work a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed hours and a fixed 8-hour shift per day.
