Travel Physical Therapist Job
Physical Therapist — Skilled Nursing Facility travel assignment in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. Start date May 4, 2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range: $2,473 to $2,673 per week. Guaranteed hours: 35 per week. Shift: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., five days per week. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive PT evaluations and create individualized treatment plans for residents in a skilled nursing setting.
- Implement therapy interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence; monitor progress and modify plans as needed.
- Deliver a range of modalities and techniques (therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, manual therapy, wound/injury care as appropriate) per resident goals and chart outcomes.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nurses, aides, physicians, social work) to coordinate care, progress notes, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the resident’s records, ensure compliance with safety, privacy, and facility policies, and participate in quality improvement activities.
- Educate residents and families about home exercise programs, fall prevention, and equipment use to support ongoing recovery after discharge.
Requirements
- Active physical therapy license in the United States or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Experience or demonstrated interest in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting preferred
- Ability to work a 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. schedule, 5 days per week
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and meet assignment start requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; proficient documentation
