Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job
Registered Nurse – PACU in Clarkston, Washington. This travel assignment begins July 20, 2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Guaranteed 36 hours per week with 10-hour shifts. Work setting includes LTC - Nursing Home with outpatient perioperative services. The RN will provide Preoperative, PACU and Phase II care, with floating to Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Pre-operative Clinic, and other perioperative needs, including conscious sedation for select procedures. A shared on-call rotation is included.

Responsibilities
- Deliver perioperative nursing care across Preoperative, PACU and Phase II recovery, including initial assessments, monitoring, airway management, pain control and vital signs.
- Monitor for post-anesthesia and postoperative complications; implement action plans and coordinate with the anesthesia and surgical teams.
- Provide peri-operative education to patients and families and assist with discharge planning and readiness for transfer.
- Float to outpatient services areas such as Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, and Pre-operative Clinic; support hospital needs for conscious sedation during select procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation, patient records and handoffs; ensure patient safety and adherence to perioperative protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and ensure smooth transitions across perioperative stages.
Requirements
- Active RN license (WA) or ability to obtain; current licensure to practice as an RN is required.
- Strong Preoperative, PACU and Phase II nursing skills; experience in perioperative care is essential.
- Ability to float to multiple outpatient service areas (Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Pre-operative Clinic) and adapt to a fast-paced perioperative environment.
- Availability for 10-hour shifts and participation in a shared on-call rotation.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation abilities; comfortable working in a perioperative team.
Education
- RN licensure required; nursing degree appropriate for RN practice.
