Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER), Utica, NY. This travel - temporary assignment begins on 06/29/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to ER patients across all ages, from newborns to geriatrics
- Conduct rapid assessment, triage, continuous monitoring, and timely escalation of patient condition
- Administer medications, fluids, and treatments per physician orders; assist with procedures and resuscitation as needed
- Monitor vital signs, interpret clinical data, and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to modify care plans
- Document patient care accurately in the EPIC EMR, ensuring clear handoffs to next-shift staff
- Educate patients and families, discharge planning, and coordination with case management for appropriate follow-up
Requirements
- Active NY RN license with Nursys verification; all RN licenses must be verifiable
- 2+ years ED experience with some pediatric exposure; travel experience required
- TNCC must be in hand at submission; current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS required
- EPIC EMR experience
- Valid driver’s license with address that matches demographics
- Local candidates are eligible for local rate (within 75 miles)
- RTO (time off) must be included at time of submission
