Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Tele Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele in Middlebury, Vermont. Start 09/17/2026 for 7 weeks in a hospital setting. Weekly pay range: $2,971–$3,196 per week. Shift: 12-hour nights (3x12). This travel - temporary assignment requires active nursing licensure, charge nurse experience, and strong Med Surg Telementor skills, with emphasis on insulin and cardiac drip management, NIH Stroke Scale readiness, and EPIC charting proficiency.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including orthopedics, urology, gynecology, and general surgery, with progressive care elements as needed.
- Monitor telemetry, respond to rhythm changes, and manage IV medications, insulin drips, and cardiac drips per physician orders; document findings and actions.
- Collaborate with hospitalists and the care team; participate in rapid responses, code 99 events, and ensure patient safety throughout shifts.
- Complete accurate assessments, develop and update care plans, administer medications, and document in the electronic health record (EPIC) per hospital policy.
- Support unit operations as a Charge RN when assigned, maintaining staffing flow and patient care continuity; participate in voluntary on-call and weekend coverage as required.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license; license required at time of submission
- BLS and ACLS certification; NIHSS certification or training required prior to start
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience; progressive care experience preferred; prior travel experience required
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years
- Insulin drip and cardiac drip management experience; prior Charge RN experience preferred
- Availability for 12-hour night shifts; a minimum of every other weekend or schedule adjustments to meet unit needs
