Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care to medical-surgical patients with telemetry needs; monitor vital signs and respond to changes per unit protocol.
- Administer prescribed medications and injections (IM/SQ) as ordered; perform phlebotomy and IV placement as required by unit policies.
- Assist with wound care, dressing changes, catheter care, and feeding tube care (NG/G-tube) as assigned.
- Document care in EPIC and communicate patient status changes to the supervising RN/MD using SBAR; participate in shift handoffs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (IV team, PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, RRT, Transport, Unit Secretary, Interpretation Services) to coordinate care and ensure patient safety.

Requirements
- Current New York LPN license in good standing; license must be in hand at submission; pending licenses not accepted.
- Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
- EPIC charting experience required.
- BLS certification required.
- Ability to work the assigned 4x12-hour night shift; willingness to float to med/surg units as needed; weekend coverage as described.
- Orientation: 12 hours.
