Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic imaging using assigned equipment following standard protocols and safety guidelines.
- Position patients, apply immobilization as needed, select exposure factors, and ensure shielding to protect patients and staff.
- Verify patient identity and exam orders; document procedures accurately and archive images in the PACS/EMR; retrieve data for quality monitoring.
- Maintain equipment readiness, conduct basic quality checks, report malfunctions, and assist in safety and infection control practices.
- Maintain clean, organized imaging rooms and adhere to ALARA principles; participate in unit safety drills as required.
- Float between four attached imaging locations as needed; collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff and communicate findings or concerns promptly.
Requirements
- License: Kansas Board of Healing Arts (KSBHA) license in hand on submittal; ARRT (LRT) certification; BLS required.
- Education: Graduate of a two-year accredited Radiology Technology program.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Radiology Tech experience in a high-acuity hospital setting.
- Skills: Proficiency with computer systems for patient testing and data retrieval related to quality and performance; ability to work in a high-acuity environment and float between multiple imaging areas.
