Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room and equipment for surgical procedures; maintain sterile technique and proper instrument handling.
- Scrub in for cases and assist the surgeon during procedures, including total joint and robotic-assisted surgeries; pass instruments and manage counts.
- Assist with patient positioning, draping, skin prep, and intraoperative instrumentation; handle implants as directed.
- Maintain instrument integrity, verify counts, and support room turnover and instrument sterilization between cases.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team to support safety, efficiency, and quality patient care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- BLS certification
- Total joint experience and robotic-assisted surgery experience required
- Some call coverage is required (example: 3–7 PM)
- Ability to work 8-hour days, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
- Active surgical technologist credential or state-required licensure per applicable requirements
